Everybody is Nobody

Everybody is Nobody
Date:02/04/2014
I feel that that our identities are of no importance or they have limited importance. We are known to people who stay nearby us, who we have worked with. We feel glad if we are recognised in our society. Of course it is a matter of pride. But have we ever realised that our identity is limited? Beyond some circumference we are unknown. I am not talking about you and me I am talking about everybody who feels that he has some identity, recognition. I must say that you will not deny what I am saying. Everybody on this earth is somebody (because he is known to a fraction of people) but he never realises that his "somebodiness" is of no importance. if the people ,he is known to, disappear, he looses his "somebodiness" and  becomes Nobody. If he goes to the part of the world where he is unknown he is nobody. If he himself disappears he is least remembered and recognised, ofcourse in this case his "somebodiness" is not forgotten immediately, but gradually he is forgotten and  soon he becomes 'Nobody'.

There are so many things happening everyday that make us realise that we are nobody. But we fail to realise this and go on pretending that we are somebody. From the day first, we are indirectly taught that we have come on this earth to make our presence felt. We strive most of the time to make others feel that we exist. And in the process of making others feel that we exist, we actually loose our existence. We work to fulfill their expectations and sideline our wishes and dreams. We do not realise when their expectations of us become our aims and goals. We strive for the whole life for the goals set by others. Isn't this our death, the death of our unborn identity, our ideas, dreams and wishes. Don't we really loose our existence? Perhaps, these words are confusing and alien but if you ask these questions to yourself, you will realise that you are not you. But you are not going to question yourself for you very well know the answers and have learned to manage the two personalities within you. Forgive me, I used the wrong word 'manage'. You have not managed but you have killed the other one. Because managing is not killing. You have killed yourself and now living the life which is, of course, not of yours. How can I say that you are living the life of yours since you have already killed yourself.

This is a kind of pretence that keeps us busy for most of the life, which doesn't let us feel our presence. This is the biggest loss, I suppose. For the whole life we pretend to be what we are not  and miss the chance that life has given. We don't explore ourself. It takes us years to know our likes and dislikes. This is the big time failure. I feel that we are the murderers, murderers of the personalities which never shaped, which never came to being.

You might disagree to what I said in the above paragraph. Just give a thought to it. Did you ever realise that you are not living your own dreams. Your nature or behaviour is the result of your thought. You would say that, 'Yes, our behaviour is the the result of our thought.' Then I would say that you owe your thoughts and thinking process to the society' which I think is the main culprit to keep you away from knowing yourself.

Now, dont think that I am against society or rules and regulations laid down upon us by the society. Society is an institution which has to have some rules to maintain order, just like an IT company which makes certain rules to maintain discipline on the floor. I am not against society but I am against the people who blindly accept certain rules of it without giving their thought to it.

To conclude I would say, 'If you give your thought to something you are alive, you stop thinking you efface your personality.'

Let's make an attempt to make us alive! Let's make the dead alive! Let's provoke you within you! Lets see what life is! Let's live our dreams! Let's not be shackled any more! Let's live the life! Let's live the life!
